News Great North Run News They did it!!! On Sunday 8th September, Ellie Cresswell and Sean Watson ran to raise money to support the work of Meadow Well Connected, alongside Ellie's sister and Sean's fiance, Heather Taylor, who was running for Breast Cancer Care. Between them they raised over £1,000 for their various charities and we're very grateful to Sean and Ellie for raising funds for us. It was a very special day with the sun beaming down on the runners. Months of training really paid off for all of them and they were chuffed to get to the end, if a bt battered and bruised from the experience. Sean said, "I really enjoyed it. It was a fantastic atmosphere and it's so great to see so many people running to raise money for such a diverse range of charities." Ellie was pleased to reach the end as she'd been suffering with a knee injury but completed the race despite this. "I feel glad that it's over but never again, I'm not a natural runner and will stick to hitting the gym! Thank you again to our runners and if anyone fancies running next year please do get in touch! You can still support Ellie and Sean or if you'd like to arrange your own sponsored challenge have a look at our fundraising pages.
