The bees are back in town! Over a year ago we had to say goodby to our beloved bees due to lack of an experienced volunteer or staff member to look after them. Whilst bees are wild creatures they do require some TLC to prevent the hive from dying and so we made the sad decision to send our colonies off to a place where they could be looked after by an expert all year round. Now, thanks to the support and help of two amazing new beekeeping volunteers, Stephen and James, we are able to return a hive to the gardens and we hope to be reaping the benefits of having them back later in the year. Our garden team have been working to prepare the environment so there are plenty of bee friendly, nectar filled plants in the garden so there should be plenty for them to feast on. We can't wait to taste the sweet honey when it's ready.
