Shelly Norman

I have lived in Meadow Well most of my adult life.

A year ago I went on a course which made me re-evaluate what I wanted to do with my working life.

I had two ladies call to my home doing a questionnaire from the Meadows. After talking to them I asked if they needed any help as I had a few days spare in my weekly routine.

Over the past few months I have engaged with the local community by calling to peoples homes asking what they feel is missing within the local area. I have helped out a few times in reception and attended some meetings.

Through my involvement and the support from the staff within the centre my confidence has increased so much that I can now speak out in meetings. I am keen to be involved with the centre and the new co-op scheme that is being introduced with the Meadows.
